We are consistently working as a golf club and for the sport of golf to make golf as accessible for all. Please see our below policy documents.
ADULTS SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is put in place to prevent harm or abuse for certain individuals. It is also important to know the different forms of abuse that come under safeguarding issues. Safeguarding is to prevent harassment and abuse and the different forms that there are. For example, safeguarding prevents sexual harassment as well as individual (e.g. disordered eating; self-harm), relational (e.g. physiological, physical, sexual harassment and abuse). Lastly, organisational safeguarding concerns (e.g. systemic discrimination, medical mismanagement). These examples clearly show how many issues there are and can be when it comes to the safety of individuals. Therefore, it is important for us as Mid Sussex Golf Club to ensure there are measures in place to maintain peoples and customers safety.
CHILDREN SAFEGUARDING
safeguarding as protecting children from abuse, preventing harm to their mental and physical development, making sure they are raised in environments that support the delivery of safe and effective care, and taking steps to ensure that every child has the best possible outcomes are all considered aspects of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Therefore, it is our duty as Mid Susses Golf Club to maintain a safe environment for every child and young person that attends Mid Sussex Golf Club.
EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Diversity, equality, and inclusion are essential for creating fair, respectful, and thriving communities and workplaces. Embracing different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences not only enriches our understanding of one another but also drives innovation, collaboration, and growth. Equality ensures that everyone has access to the same opportunities, while inclusion fosters a sense of belonging, where every individual feels valued and heard. Together, these principles help build stronger, more compassionate, and more resilient societies.
DISCIPLINARY
Disciplinary procedures are important for maintaining fairness, accountability, and professional standards in any organization or community. They help ensure that rules and expectations are clearly understood and upheld, promoting a safe, respectful, and productive environment for everyone. When applied consistently and fairly, disciplinary action supports positive behaviour, reinforces boundaries, and provides opportunities for improvement, while also protecting the integrity of the group or workplace.
