The New Ping G Driver

In creating the G driver, PING engineers studied the dragonfly's wing pattern to design ultra-thin crown sections for extreme CG and maximized MOI to create our longest, most forgiving driver to date. Vortec Technology on the back of the Ti 8-1-1 head reduces turbulent wake during the downswing for faster clubhead speed with improved stability and forgiveness to help generate distance.

The variable-thickness T9S face has a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a thin face to maximize ball speed. Removing 4 grams from the face helps position the CG low/back for ideal launch conditions and extreme forgiveness. Crown turbulators and Vortec Technology contribute to reducing drag 37% at impact, yielding greater clubhead speed and ball velocity for sizeable distance and accuracy gains from all swing speeds.

G drivers are available in three models to fit your desired trajectory: G Standard, G SF Tec (Straight-Flight Technology), and G LS Tec (Low-Spin Technology).

To fine tune your launch conditions in the 460cc head, adjust the loft up to ±1° using Trajectory Tuning 2.0, which utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamic, high-strength 7075 aluminium hosel sleeve.

Ping G Irons

G irons are heat treated using a specialized process, creating a Hyper 17-4 alloy that is 40% stronger than traditional 17-4 SS. This allows the faces to be thinner and provide four times the face flexing with improved stability. The results are big distance gains and a higher peak trajectory for better stopping power so you can hit and hold the green.

COR-Eye Technology generates sizeable distance gains by simultaneously activating the sole, face and top rail in flexing for consistently faster ball speeds across the hotter face. In addition to four times the face flexing, the G head is more stable and forgiving.

Connecting the Custom Tuning Port to the sole creates a deeper CG that helps elevate the launch angle while increasing MOI for greater accuracy.

At address, the iron’s refined look is created by a thin top rail, satin-blast finish and appropriate offset. Acoustics and feel are optimized in the back cavity with damping tape that covers a large area.

Color Code Chart

Karsten began work on his famous PING Color Code System to bring the benefits of custom fitting to the average golfer. Today, PING is the undisputed fitting leader, with thousands of fitting systems at golf shops and courses around the world, a fleet of fitting vehicles that travel to demo days around the country, and a comprehensive, PGA-certified training program designed to instruct golf professionals to properly fit PING equipment to every golfer's swing.

The new PING Color Code Chart features two new color codes — yellow (1.5° upright) and purple (1.5° flat) — to bring the total number of available lie angles to 12. Each of the 12 color codes is separated by .75° to provide golfers a more precise fit for improved accuracy and consistency.

Regardless of your ability, properly fit clubs can help you hit straighter, more consistent shots. By matching the proper club specifications to your swing, a fitter can help reduce or eliminate undesirable shot patterns, like hooks and slices, allowing you to play closer to your full potential and making the game more enjoyable.

Surprisingly, custom-fit PING clubs don't cost any more or take any longer to build. Once an order has been placed through an authorized PING retailer, our streamlined production process allows us to ship your clubs, built to your exact specifications, usually in just 48 hours.

You can start the process right now by using Web-Fit at the top of this page. After answering a few questions, you'll receive static fitting recommendations for irons, a driver, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges or a putter that you can take to the next level
